Like everyone else I have my moments where it feels like the world is caving in on me. Don’t get me wrong, life is great. I have my health, a wonderful family, a great wife, and most importantly a God who loves me more than I can ever understand. All that being said, on days like today when things are going awry it’s easy to forget how blessed I am. Duplex in need of 5k of repairs, car in shop for repairs, work piling up on me, and my arm is still hurting (long story but I had my blood was drawn for a life insurance renewal). All of these things seem petty but it made for a tough start to a long day.
Anyway, it’s easy for your priorities to get out of whack when this stuff is going on. Then God has a funny way of helping you remember what is really important. Let me explain. Kisha had a doctors appt today. It was sort of a last minute appt but I’m so blessed to have a job where I can take off when need be. So I picked the girls up from school today (which was their last day this summer). Anyway, on the way out the girls asked me to get on this toy wood train that is near the door. Of course I said yes which forced me to SLOW down and allow them to get on the train. Anyway, the train moment really helped me put things in perspective and get back ‘under control’. That God for his goodness because it was 10 minutes later that the check engine light came on in my truck J.
Anyway, I decided to take the picture of them on the train. Enjoy.
